The fight with Mordlew had terrified some of the inhabitants of the village at the foot of Faestari's mountain. With winter fast approaching visitors to her dungeon's caverns were few. She was considering preparing for the winter. Before she could make major changes two events changed her plans. First, avatars from older dungeons show up demanding that she change how she interacts with adventurers and with the village. They clearly fear the possibility that Faestari might reveal secrets. Then as she's still trying to reconcile her desire to be around others she feels the mana of a new dungeon spring forth. However, her first meeting with this dungeon goes wrong. It seems to have little understanding of what it is and only has its unending desire for power. With new threats and few friends, Faestari finds that she must get to know the villagers and hope they can help her stave off any attempts to destroy her.
It was a humble mountain village. With each generation more of the children from the village left than decided to stay. One day a man who had left more than a decade before returned. He was accompanied by a strange woman with pointed ears and their daughter. The family quietly worked to establish a new farm as they became part of the small community. However, they came with a secret that would bring disaster to the village and create something the lands had never seen before. The only question is, will the simple love of this family hold true and win out over the approaching tragedy.
