Ard joins the war with an explosive start, the Garrish army is marching through the pass to the ruined Chillwind Fort. The only defenders are Ard and company to hold out until reinforcements can arrive.
Though his accolades are too startling and he draws the attention of The King only for General Trevis to swoop in and send Ard on a mission behind enemy lines. He's to stir up the populace of their rival kingdom to rebellion.
Bran returns to Vein City to find Gloria jealous that he came back with Nyx and Circe. While trying to solve that, Vincent becomes even pushier about entering the Vault.
When going to open it, Bran discovers that this life has changed yet again. For whatever reason, they had gotten perrilously close to cracking the Vault on their own and drawing all the future heroes of the First Demon War in a demonic trap.
It's up to Bran to make sure they all make it out alive while reaping as much reward as he can from the Vault.
Ken and company are back from the dungeon shuffle. Now on Earth once again, their levels outstrip the colleges they were attending.
However, that isn't stopping the Headmistress from trying to put them back into the classroom.
As they dive once again, going into Star City and beyond they are coming up against new races and Felin is reunited with the nekorian race, though the meeting doesn't go quite as planned.
Ken has to weave between uprooting the remainder of the SJS Financial web, following the rules of the Orkai and not collapsing under Crimson's renewed training efforts. At least he has his party of five once again, Penny filling in for Fayeth as she returns to the elven world to help her people recover from their own disaster.
